Sustain is the planned continuation stage of the Governance Lifecycle: proportionate governance support after appointment, through the life of the appointment rather than at the start of it.
In development · Not operationalSustain is a planned service. It is currently in development and is not yet operational. No Sustain subscription, screening platform or technical service is presently offered. No launch date has been set.
The intended design is a screening and audit service rather than monitoring. Content an office holder proposes to publish would be submitted voluntarily for screening against the standards obligations applying to their role, with the result returned as advisory guidance. The office holder would decide whether to publish. Where guidance was set aside, that decision would be recorded.
Nothing would be screened without submission, and no content would be blocked, removed or reported to anyone. The purpose is to give an office holder a second look before publication, not to watch them.
It is not intended to replace statutory officers, legal advisers, organisational governance structures or the judgement of the office holder, and it is not conceived as continuous surveillance or routine monitoring for its own sake.
This describes an intended design. It is not a specification, and it may change before any service is offered.
The Governance Lifecycle runs from Identify through Verify and Select to Induct and Sustain. The Lifecycle remains stable while the services and capabilities associated with individual stages may develop over time. Read about Integri's approach and Governance Lifecycle.
Induct is the stage before this one and is operational now. It covers the obligations taking effect from election or appointment.
